Choosing the Perfect Kids Room Furniture

When choosing your kids room furniture it is important to think about durability, functionality, size and color. With a little bit of planning you should be able to find the perfect furniture to fit your child's needs and your budget.

Durability - In addition to being the right size and shape for your child, it also has to be sturdy. Let's face it; children often don't know how to be "delicate," and can be rough on furniture just because they're naturally rambunctious. So the furniture you choose, such as your kids chair, or kids table and chairs, needs to be able to stand up to rough treatment and lots of "loving use."

Color - Color is important too, but in this case, you can let your child's creativity and tastes weigh in. After all, what's better as a child than to have a kids chair just for you, in your favorite color and just your size? That depends; what does your child like to do? There are children's beanbag chairs, for comfy sitting on the floor, there are sturdy kids table and chairs just perfect for homework, coloring, doing crafts, and so on, and there are even children's recliners for children who "just want to sit back and take a snooze."

Looking for quality - When you've decided what you want to get in furniture, look for a kids chair or kids table and chairs with plenty of "rough-and-tumble" leeway. The furniture you choose should also not have sharp corners or heavy pieces that can come off and fall on your child. Again, a lot of furniture made for children is made specifically so that safety is a first consideration, but you should still keep an eye out and make sure the furniture you choose is completely safe and won't hurt your child in any way. Even with a limited budget and space, you can choose furniture such as kids chairs or kids table and chairs that will suit your child in every way for years of fun and use.

Baby Nursery Furniture a Booming Market!

Baby nursery furniture and baby crib sets are a growing category, representing $1.1 billion at retail last year, and expected to grow to $1.4 billion by 2009. There are many top manufacturers in the nursery furniture category. The baby furniture category includes nursery furniture for children from birth through 2 years, including painted baby furniture, nursery crib furniture, bassinets, a baby table for changing diapers, glider rockers, rocking chairs, dressers, chests, armoires and bookcases. Basically anything you would purchase at a baby store while furniture shopping.

So if a parent is willing to spend $300 on a stroller which is typically a smaller ticket item in comparison to nursery furniture what are they willing to spend on a nursery crib, an item that's use is far more than the use of a stroller.

Things like blankets, strollers, a nursery crib mattress, a toddler bed and accessories or items that would be bought for nursery gifts or baby gifts, or furniture for children over the age of 2 are not included in the category being discussed as leading infant bedroom furniture manufacturers. According to Kids Today's exclusive Buying Trends Survey, 2.2% of U.S. households bought a nursery crib in 2004, and 2.7% bought other baby furniture. The median price point for a nursery crib in 2004 was $150, with those consumers planning to buy a nursery crib in 2005 saying they planned to spend a median of $200. Even still, 18% of consumers who bought a nursery crib in 2004 paid $500 or more.

It is common knowledge that the median prices of these specialty cribs cost much more than the traditional rectangle cribs. As far as infant furniture goes round baby cribs are a fairly new concept. Obviously a nursery crib is the most important purchase you will make for your child...along with the rest of the nursery furniture. Nursery Furniture Manufacturers know this and cater our need to give our child "everything". That is why baby nursery furniture and nursery crib sets are such a booming market!

Customer Reviews
Great Price, Great Product, Very Functional and Nice Looking
My wife and I picked this changing table out for the newest addition to our family. With the new baby coming I have been putting what seems like a million items together in the past couple of months so when I opened the package this changing table came in I was pretty disappointed at first because it seemed as though there were hundreds of parts. In reality there are a lot of parts however they are numbered properly and the instructions make putting this changing table together an easy task. Once put together I called my wife into the room and she was really excited. This item is what I would consider high quality for a piece of furniture ordered online. Obviously there are more expensive options that come put together however this changing table is well designed and offers a great amount of storage in what we consider very functional for a changing table.

One other item I would like to note is the packaging the changing table came in was perfect in the sense that it could have been dropped off the back of the delivery truck nuerous times without damaging the pieces of the changing table. Sometimes when ordering furniture online you will receive products with chips in the wood or missing parts but that is not the case with this product.

I would highly recommend this changing table to families looking for a changing table in this price range.
